Apple announced they will be launching their new ad platform, IAd. It will place ads on apps that run on the iphone and ipad. While not directly in competition, this ad network will go head to head with Google's adwords. Only difference is adwords ads are placed on websites and search results.
Analyists say this could increase Apple's revenues by 4 billion /year.
