The story is all about what you like. While filling out your "interests" section on Facebook or retweeting about your activities on Twitter, advertisers are using this information to better sell you their stuff. This isn't news but the battle is growing.
Facebook is aiming to expand their "like" functionality to the entire internet, moving away form the seldom-updated"interests" section while Twitter believes that just by the frequently-updating nature of their medium, they better understand the interest of their users.
