Are you kidding me? The only thing racist here is Movie Line (website responsible for all the controversy) for pointing this out. Seriously, just because these two robots (Skid and Mudflap) “jive-talk” and one happens to have a gold tooth, doesn’t make them “black” robots. That statement is completely ignorant and clearly shows that Movie Line knows nothing about the youth in today’s society. Black, white, Asian, Hispanic or whatever. If they are in their teens to young adults and listen to today’s retarded hip-hop music, then more than likely they “jive-talk.” Or as I say, “act like wannabe gangstas.” So, how can Movie Line single out blacks? If anything, we should be thanking Michael Bay for having these two robots and highlighting the stupidity in some of today’s society, especially the youth. I say this because we have to remember based on the Transformer movies, the robots get their information and personalities from accessing Earth’s internet and media. Who’s to say these two robots didn’t stumble on a clip of Eminem, or Kevin Federline, OR (my best example) Riff Raff from MTV’s G’s to Gents Season 2. All of which are “jive-talking” white boys.
See what I mean? Can we really blame Michael Bay or the robots? *shakes head*
Here’s something else to think about. If people are having problems with these two so called “black jive-talking” robots, then what about cartoon characters on the “whiter” side of things. Example: Mater, from Pixar’s Cars. Yup, a dirty buck-toothed tow truck that seems to be depicted as a hillbilly, trailer trash, and dumb “white” car. Yet, still there doesn’t seem to be half the controversy amongst bloggers or review sites about Mater compared to Skid and Mudflap. Hmm...
