Ever since I've first used a smartphone, the biggest pain was having to 1) sparsely use apps or the internet to save battery or 2) carry around a charger. As of right now, I have a charger at home, at work, in the car, and a USB charger for extra juice to steal from my laptop. Ironically, that laptop, has more battery life browsing the web than my phone. A new move by Intel might change this.
The upcoming Atom Z series codenamed "Moorestown" will not only run at 1.5 Ghz, bolster 1080p video, but it will have a 10-day standby time and over 2-days of music playback. Maybe we can finally browse the internet to our liking, watch an entire movie without plugging in, or actually have the curage to leave WiFi, GPS, and Bluetooth radios on. How convenient...
